🌍 Exploring Alcalá de Guadaíra: Our 3rd Graders Become Tour Guides! 🌍 Explorando Alcalá de Guadaíra: ¡Nuestro alumnado de 3º se convierte en guías turísticos!

What a fantastic way to wrap up the third term! Our brilliant 3rd-grade students have been working hard on a very special project for their latest learning situation. Working in cooperative teams, they took on the challenge of becoming local experts and created an amazing Bilingual Tourist Guide of our beloved city, Alcalá de Guadaíra.

¡Qué manera tan fantástica de cerrar el tercer trimestre! Nuestro brillante alumnado de 3º de primaria ha estado trabajando duro en un proyecto muy especial para su última situación de aprendizaje. Trabajando en equipos cooperativos, asumieron el reto de convertirse en expertos locales y crearon una increíble Guía Turística Bilingüe de nuestra querida ciudad, Alcalá de Guadaíra.

🗺️ What’s Inside the Guide? / ¿Qué incluye la guía?

Through teamwork and collaboration, each group researched, wrote, and completed a guide packed with local treasures. Here is a sneak peek of what they uncovered:

A través del trabajo en equipo y la colaboración, cada grupo investigó, escribió y completó una guía repleta de tesoros locales. Aquí hay un pequeño avance de lo que descubrieron:

• Location: Finding Alcalá on the map and showing the world where we are.

  • Localización: Ubicando a Alcalá en el mapa y mostrando al mundo dónde estamos.

• The Moorish Castle & Monuments: Exploring our majestic fortress and the most important historic churches.

  • El Castillo Árabe y Monumentos: Explorando nuestra majestuosa fortaleza y las iglesias históricas más importantes.

• The Dragon Bridge: Crossing one of the most unique, colourful, and fun bridges in the world!

  • El Puente del Dragón: ¡Cruzando uno de los puentes más singulares, coloridos y divertidos del mundo!

• Our Traditional Flour Mills: Learning how our ancestors used the river to grind grain.

  • Nuestros tradicionales Molinos de agua: Aprendiendo cómo nuestros antepasados usaban el río para moler el grano.

• The Scent of Fresh Bread: Highlighting Alcalá’s most famous and delicious product. Yum!

  • El aroma a pan tierno: Destacando el producto más famoso y delicioso de Alcalá. ¡Qué rico!

• City Services: Making sure visitors know exactly where to find everything they need during their stay.

  • Servicios de la ciudad: Asegurándose de que los visitantes sepan exactamente dónde encontrar todo lo que necesitan durante su estancia.

But the project didn't stop there! To put the perfect finishing touch on their hard work, the different groups stood up proudly to deliver oral presentations of their final guides.

¡Pero el proyecto no terminó ahí! Para poner el broche de oro a su gran esfuerzo, los distintos grupos se levantaron con orgullo para realizar las exposiciones orales de sus guías finales.

Speaking in both English and Spanish, they showed incredible confidence, great communication skills, and fantastic team spirit. They were true professional guides!

Hablando tanto en inglés como en español, demostraron una confianza increíble, grandes habilidades comunicativas y un fantástico espíritu de equipo. ¡Fueron auténticos guías profesionales!

We couldn't be prouder of our little tour guides. They have proven that when we work together, we can achieve amazing things. Congratulations, team!
