Prehistory's learning stations

 4th grade students have learned about Prehistory developing four different learning stations in which they have to accomplish a particular funny activity or game in each one. This outstanding didactic resource has been coordinated between Science teachers and Siobhán, our language assistant.

El alumnado de cuarto de Primaria ha aprendido sobre la Prehistoria mediante estaciones de aprendizaje en las que han tenido que desarrolla una actividad divertida o juego en cada una. Este asombroso recurso didáctico ha sido coordinado entre el profesorado de Ciencias y Siobhán, nuestra auxiliar de conversación.

Regarding the learning stations, there are four stations:

1.- Matching game to join sentences and pictures related to them.

2.- Classification of images bearing in mind the period of time they are refered to.

3.- Listening to a sentence of the previous ones treated in the unit, and making an agreement of the correspondent prehistoric time (Paleolithic, Neolithic or Age of Metals)

4.- Creation of mind maps about the different Prehistory Time Periods in groups.

Hay cuatro estaciones de aprendizaje:

1.- Juego de parejas para unir frases e imágenes.

2.- Clasificación de imágenes según el período de la Prehistoria.

3.-  Escucha de una frase en inglés de las aprendidas en la unidad, y llegar a un acuerdo del período de la Prehistoria correspondiente (Paleolítico, Neolítico o Edad de los Metales).

4.- Creación de un mapa mental sobre los diferentes períodos de la Prehistoria en grupos.

All pupils were going from one learning station to another one until completing all the proposed games.

Todo el alumnado irá rotando por las estaciones de aprendizaje hasta completar todos los juegos propuestos.

Andalusian Day 2023

Our school celebrates this genuine festivity in different ways. Each level is focused on a specific social or cultural topic of Andalusia. So, students are learning some peculiarities of our Autonomous Community using English as a vehicular language. All pupils have contributed to decorate the "English Spot":

Nuestro colegio celebra esta festividad genuina de maneras distintas. Cada nivel se centra en una temática específica cultural o social de Andalucía. Así, el alumnado aprende algunas particulariedades de nuestra Comunidad Autónoma utilizando el Inglés como lengua de comunicación. Todo el alumnado ha contribuido a decorar el "English Spot":

What a fabulous job!

Healthy habits!!

What a surprising task! 1st level students have developed an awesome project about healthy food. They have drawn food and cut it out. Then they have classified it bearing in mind how often they should eat it. They have enjoyed and learnt while developing the comunicative competence in the Foreign Language. Do not let them pass by!

¡Qué tarea tan sorprendente! El alumnado de primero ha desarrollado un asombroso proyecto sobre comida saludable. Han dibujado y recortado la comida. Después la han clasificado teniendo en cuenta la frecuencia en la que deben comerla. Han disfrutado y aprendido mientras que han desarrollado su competencia comunicativa en la Lengua Extranjera. ¡No te la pierdas!

Endangered Animals in Andalucía

3rd level pupils have created a digital book about animals. At first, they looked for a picture of an endangered animal and uploaded it in Google Classroom. To continue with, they described the selected animals in their cooperative groups. After that, they wrote the information in the computer. 

El alumnado de tercero ha creado un libro digital sobre animales. Al principio, han buscado una imagen de un animal en peligro de extinción y lo han subido a Google Classroom. Seguidamente, describieron los animales escogidos en sus grupos cooperativos. Después, escribieron la información en el ordenador.

This digital book is quite interesting because children can listen the text clicking on it. This tool is particularly relevant for arousing pupils' interest in the correct pronuntiation. Actually, it promotes the bilingualism using digital resources.

Este libro digital es muy interesante porque el alumnado puede escuchar el texto haciendo clic sobre el mismo. Esta herramienta es relevante particularmente porque despierta el interés del alumnado en la correcta pronunciación. De hecho, promueve el bilinguismo mediante el uso de recursos digitales.

Discovering the Solar System!!

 What a wonderful universe we are living in! 5th level's student have explored the quirks of the Solar System.  For that purpose, they have made models of it to display an oral explanation. They have been delighted to their final products and their acquisitions. Actually, these are some models they want to show us:
